"We will attempt an analysis of the response that Jesus gives his disciples to the question - mentioned in the title - they addressed him. Why do we choose to speak in parables "to those outside"? Who are, in fact, "those outside"? And how can we reconcile the universality of the Christian message, the generosity of its non-discriminatory message, with the appearance of exclusivity implied by this response? The text that I will present is a first step towards an "analytics of the receptivity" that will be in its final version, the theme of a book on one possible reading of the parables of Jesus in today’s world".
