Augustin Emane, Correspondent Member of the Institute, wins the 2013 "Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique Noire"

Augustin Emane, Assistant Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Nantes and Correspondent member of the Institute, has been awarded the "Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique Noire" for his book Albert Schweitzer, une icône africaine.

He will receive the award on March 25th at the International Organisation for Francophonie, in Paris.

 

This award is attributed by the Association of French Language Writers ADELF. This association, founded in 1926 and recognised as a public-interest organisation in 1952, has given the Grand Prix Littéraire d’Afrique Noire since 1961.

Augustin Emane had presented his book Albert Schweitzer, une icône africaine during a lecture given at the Institute in June 2013. The video recording of this lecture can be seen on our website.
