The Institut d'études avancées de Nantes is a public foundation.
Its Board of Directors comprises twelve members, half of whom are qualified personalities.
It is chaired by Johanna Rolland, Mayor of Nantes and President of Nantes Métropole.
In 2023-2024, the Institute will be run by a collegial management team comprising Costa Rican philosopher Luis Mora-Rodriguez (Director), Cameroonian law professor Pierre-Etienne Kenfack (Deputy Director) and Emmanuelle Garcia (Executive Director).
The selection of residents is entrusted to an interdisciplinary and international Scientific Advisory Board chaired by Swiss sociologist Marc-Henry Soulet.
