Tribute to Pierre Legendre

On Tuesday, April 18 at 5:00 p.m., Pierre Musso and Katrin Becker will come to the Julien Gracq Library to pay tribute to Pierre Legendre by presenting their book "Introduction à l’oeuvre de Pierre Legendre", published in February 2023. Many former fellows of the IEA Nantes contributed to this book, including Livio Boni, Paolo Heritier, Osamu Nishitani and Andreas Rahmatian.

Pierre Legendre, an anthropologist and legal historian, passed away on March 2, 2023, leaving behind a monumental body of work of more than forty volumes, built up over more than sixty years. His theory questioning the "dogmatic framework of societies" fundamentally nourished the lines of thought of the Institute at its founding.
