Creation of the General States for a Just Transition in Belgium, among the 22 experts, a former resident of the IEA in Nantes: Thierry Amogou and the current director of the institute: Pascale Vielle.

The Federal Minister for Climate, Environment, Sustainable Development and Green Deal, Zakia Khattabi, launched on Tuesday the "Etats généraux de la transition juste", accompanied by a committee of experts in view of a national "just transition" conference foreseen by the government agreement.

The committee’s mission will be to provide a scientific contribution to the future national conference on just transition which, according to the government agreement, must "address the challenges in terms of employment, social policy, reskilling and the economy" that the transition to a greener economy will bring. A report is expected before spring 2023, according to Minister Khattabi’s office. The green minister expects it to include recommendations, details of the public that should be at the centre of the Belgian "just transition" policy, etc.
